This is a flexible, instructor-led, credit recovery United States Government course. Instructors regularly interact with students, answer questions, and give feedback on work. This course covers one semester of United States Government concepts for credit recovery.
This course is designed for students who are interested in attaining a well-rounded perspective in American government. The course will provide students with an introductory look at the major aspects of government in preparation for participation in American society.
Course activities will include short papers, interactive website assignments, and projects. While significant information regarding the structure and function of American government will be included as part of this course, a major focus will be on stimulating an interest and passion in the subject of government, with the idea of becoming an educated and involved civic citizen in an increasingly complex world.
Please also note that the course does not cover a full semester’s curriculum with the same depth that is covered in a semester-long course. Check with the student's school to confirm that the topics covered match those required by the school. It is also important to confirm the school’s process for receiving credits, which may involve an assessment administered separately by the school.
