Description
This course provides students with little or no background in Judaic studies a foundation from which they can continue their Jewish educational journey. Becoming familiar with critical terms and concepts basic to Jewish life, students will also encounter the richness and meaning of Jewish teachings. Hearing from diverse perspectives, students will learn about God, prayer, Shabbat and holidays, community service, and many other topics crucial to living and learning in a Jewish community. Along with learning the information students from all backgrounds will also connect Jewish practice to their daily experience.
