This course is a second-year algebra course and is designed to extend their knowledge of algebraic concepts aligned to the Common Core State Standards. In this course, students will continue to explore the four main conceptual areas: (1) Number and Quantity, (2) Algebra, (3) Functions, and (4) Statistics and Probability. Specifically, students will further investigate functions including linear, quadratic, polynomial, radical, exponential, logarithmic, rational, and trigonometric functions. In addition, students will also explore matrices and their operations, complex numbers, rational exponents, and topics in statistics. There will be an emphasis on solving real world applications using various mathematical models.
Algebra 1 and Geometry.
Please Note: this course contains a final exam that will require the student to identify in advance an appropriate location as well as an adult proctor for the exam.
Students should have access to a TI-83 or TI-84 graphing calculator.
Please Note: This course requires use of flash to access some course content, which will require regular access to a computer with a Windows/Mac operating system or Chromebook. This part of the course cannot be completed on a mobile device, and will require Flash to be
